This is a program for the February 6, 1938 Benefit Concert. Arturo Toscanini, it announces, is conducting the NBC Symphony Orchestra for the Benefit of the Italian Welfare League, Inc. at Carnegie Hall. The Program describes what will be played at this concert, including:
- Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1, in C Major, Opus 21
- Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, in D Minor, with Final Chorus on Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”, Opus 125
The program continues with information on the symphonies that were about to be performed so that the audience could really get a better understanding of the man behind the music and his inspiration to create such a masterpiece.
